I was listening to the radio the other day when they played a song by 'Blue' that contained a line that went something like, "You make me wanna surrender my soul" and it made me think of Buffy and Angel. Do you have a song that makes you think of them?

Oh, and does anyone know what the 'Blue' song was called?

It's called U Make Me Wanna and the chorus goes

"You make me wanna call you in the middle of the night
You make me wanna hold you till the morning light
You make me wanna love
You make me wanna fall
You make me wanna, surrender my soul
I know this is a feeling that I just can't fight
You're the first and last thing on my mind
You make me wanna love
You make me wanna fall,
You make me wanna, surrender my soul!"

And it's the 7th track on Album 2. Razz

There are some good love songs around. What about Wherever, Whenever by Shakira?

That's the one! Always makes me think of B/A.

Ooh, Shakira's song is good, too.

I'm sure there are lots but they're escaping me at the moment.

Can you think of any others?

Ok, I've been doing my homework on this, and have dug up some nice B/A songs for y'all! Very Happy

1. Bryan Adams - Brothers Under The Sun (very sad; a friend of mine had a horse die quite recently, and this song always reminds her of him... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad )
2. Whiteflag, by Dido, of course!!! Very Happy
3. Sorry Baby, by Da Buzz
4. Dancing With An Angel- Double You (appropriate name! Wink )
5. Crush - Jennifer Paige
6. Gorecki, by Lamb. This song is incredibly stirring. I love it.
7. Secret Smile, by Semisonic
8. Pretty Green Eyes, by Ultrabeat

There ya go! If you haven't listened to any of the above, you should. They're all great songs, I like them all, and they all remind me of B/A in some way! Cool

What about Alice Cooper's 'Poison'?

Your cruel device
Your blood, like ice
One look could kill
My pain, your thrill
I want to love you but I better not touch (Don't touch)
I want to hold you but my senses tell me to stop
I want to kiss you but I want it too much (Too much)
I want to taste you but your lips are venomous poison
You're poison running through my veins
You're poison, I don't want to break these chains
Your mouth, so hot
Your web, I'm caught
Your skin, so wet
Black lace on sweat
I hear you calling and it's needles and pins (And pins)
I want to hurt you just to hear you screaming my name
Don't want to touch you but You're under my skin (Deep in)
I want to kiss you but your lips are venomous poison
You're poison running through my veins
You're poison, I don't wanna break these chains

Poison
One look could kill
My pain, your thrill
I want to love you but I better not touch (Don't touch)
I want to hold you but my senses tell me to stop
I want to kiss you but I want it too much (Too much)
I want to taste you but your lips are venomous poison
You're poison running through my veins
You're poison, I don't wanna break these chains
Poison
I want to love you but I better not touch (Don't touch)
I want to hold you but my senses tell me to stop
I want to kiss you but I want it too much (Too much)
I want to taste you but your lips are venomous poison, yeah
I don't want to break these chains
Poison, oh no
Runnin' deep inside my veins,
Burnin' deep inside my veins
It's poison
I dont't wanna break these chains
Poison

(Sorry about the length of the lyrics).
This always reminds me of Angelus. I can imagine these words whirling around in his head every time he sees Buffy, driving him completely insane.

Oooh, Alice Cooper! I haven't heard him in a while! But I can see where you're coming from with this song. I don't know that Angelus needs anything to drive him insane, he's pretty unbalanced to start with... but these lyrics fit him pretty well!

You've been busy, Blackhorse! But why choose these particular songs? Is there something about them that speaks to you?

Some of them I can understand, like White Flag. Quite apart from the fact that the video has David Boreanaz on it, the words fit. I particularly like the first line, "I know you think that I shouldn't still love you,"

And I love "Well, I will go down with this ship" because I think it's rather apt...

Gosh, there's at least 1 song on every Chris de Burgh album that reminds me of B/A though "Broken Wings" probably has the best symbolism.

America's "Sister Golden Hair".

The Monkees' "Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere"

Melissa Etheridge's "Come To My Window"

Tori Amos' "1000 Oceans"

Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart"

Taylor Dayne's "Dreams" and "Naked Without You"

REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore"

Chicago's "After All That We've Been Through"

Fuel's "Hemorrage (In My Hands)"

I know there's more, I've got about six 90 minute tapes labeled "B/A music" including SheDaisy, Rascal Flatts, Staind, Bread, Brian Adams, Meat Loaf and a ton of other bands.

Hmm. . .

"The Right Kind of Wrong" By Leanne Rimes *Always* makes me think of them.

"In the arms of an Angel" But I think there are soo many by her, lol.

"Courage" I actually don't know who sings this but I know it was on "The Sweet Hereafter" and it always makes me think of when Buffy kills Angel

I tend to think of B/A songs post break up since there's so many good heart wrenching songs like this one. It could be Angel's theme in AtsS1
Stay Gone by Jimmy Wayne

I found peace of mind, I'm feeling good again.
I'm on the other side,
Back among the living.
Ain't a cloud in the sky,
All my tears have been cried,
And I can finally say:
Baby, baby stay,
Stay right where you are.
I like it this way,
It's good for my heart.
I haven't felt like this,
In God knows how long.
I know everything's gonna be okay,
If you just stay gone.

I still love you, and I will forever
We can't hide the truth,
We know each other better.
When we try to make it work,
We both end up hurt.
And it ain't supposed to be that way.

So baby, baby stay,
Stay right where you are.
I like it this way,
It's good for my heart.
I haven't felt like this,
In God knows how long.
I know everything's gonna be okay,
If you just stay gone.

Instrumental break.

When you try to make it work,
We both end up hurt.
Love ain't supposed to be that way.

So baby, baby stay,
Stay right where you are.
I like it this way,
It's good for my heart.
I haven't felt like this,
No, in God knows how long.
I know everything's gonna be okay,
If you just stay gone.

I know everything's gonna be okay,
If you just stay gone.

I love that song, D.M.

Chris de Burgh's "Broken Wings" just screams to be B/A:

These broken wings can take me no further
I'm lost and I'm out at sea.
I thought these wings would hold me forever
and on, an eternity.
But far away, I can hear your voice,
I can hear it in the silence of the morning,
And these broken wings have let me down
They can't seem to carry me home.

In broken dreams that keep me from sleeping
I remember all the things I said.
I remember all the promises I said I would be keeping,
They're gone, like leaves, they've fled.
But it's so hard when you're far away,
All I needed was a shoulder I could cry on,
But these broken dreams have left me now,
My love will you carry me home?

Or will you treat me
Like some traveler
on a dark and lonely road
Who sees a light and a woman
who will give him love?
Oh and just when he reaches
the part where she's supposed to
comfort his broken heart....
She turns away
and sends him
traveling on....

When I left, I believed that nothing could go wrong,
I thought the whole world would be waiting
for my story,
Take me back and heal these broken wings,
Come back and carry me home.
Take me back and heal these broken wings....
My love, will you carry me home?

Was all hungover today, so I've been laying back and listening to some soothing music. Here's a fitting song for them, these days:

So Far Away
Carole King
Tapestry, 1971

So far away, doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're just time away

Long ago I reached for you and there you stood
Holding you again could only do me good
How I wish I could, but you're so far away

One more song about movin' along the highway
Can't say much of anything that's new
If I could only work this life out my way
I'd rather spend it bein' close to you.

But you're so far away, doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're so far away

Travelin' around sure gets me down and lonely
Nothin' else to do but close my mind
I sure hope the road don't come to own me
Yet so many dreams I've yet to fin-ind

But you're so far away, doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
And it doesn't help to know you're so far away
