I have a question - well... two, actually, for the writers among you.

Question 1:
How many fandoms do you write for... and which ones?

Question 2:
Do you write original fiction, and if so... what type do you go for?

Currently I'm pretty much only doing BtVS/AtS and a little X-Men and Elfquest . I have in the past done X-files, Star Wars, Star Trek and was heavily into Elfquest. I'd love to do some Smallville but I just can't find the time

Yes and I should be doing less fanfic and more of this. I only have a little of what's been professionally published on the net (I'll share). I mostly do horror, fantasy and mystery. THe novel excerpt I have on line is the one I'm shopping around.

Question 1: BtVS/AtS, X-Men, Tombstone, Gatchaman, Doctor Who and ElfQuest (which is where I met Dana).

Question 2: Original fiction usually involves fantasy and/or weird stuff a la BtVS/X-Files. Dana and I are working on a script currently for either a TV show or a comic book; wherever we can sell it; there are about four novels in various stages of development lying around just of my own and then two more with Dana...and then the shared world that a lot of my writer friends are involved in that I started back in '85 or '86.

I don't do fan fiction, but I often write original stuff (nothing of which ever gets finished). Razz

I write Buffy and ATS stuff. I have just recently (as of one day ago Embarassed ) started King Arthur stuff.

I have started one original piece, it's a vampire story, duh, but the twist is he's a baseball player, and it's called Night Games. Har har. It may get finished here some year.

Hehe, yeah ... they get me thinking, and allow lots of imagination.

Question 1

B/A only, I'm afraid. I'm sad and obsessed. Or totally uninspired by anything else, depending on how charitable you want to be.

Question 2

Fantasy, and it's coming along nicely, thank you. I have all sorts of things zooming around in my brain but, if they ever see the light of day, they'll sit in the fantasy genre, or ancient historical, or adventure or similar. Not contemporary fiction though - I've no taste for doing real life. Wink

1. Just this one. (And crossovers)

2. When I was 5, I wrote my lone piece of original fiction about a stuffed animal. (Snakey Jabbar) Don't know what ever happened to it.

I'd have to agree with that. I hadn't written anything since I was at school - quite a while ago now - but Angel stirred something up, because I just had to get some of those ideas down, and B/A followed soon after.

Original:
Uh... some adult relationship/erotica short stories. Embarassed

Now come on Dark Star, you really can't expect the rest of us not to ask. Especially now you've set up this extra Writers' Workshop thread... We aren't going to spare your blushes, you know.

So?
